Blogging Tips Part 1

When I started blogging a few years ago I was not aware of how much time it would take to prepare posts. It seems easy as a reader, and you might think that the blogger has something to say all the time. The truth is that most pro bloggers want their post to be informative and to be related to the theme that they blog about.

That is the main thing to ponder if you want to be a pro blogger, how often can you write a post for your blog. Are there enough new developments in your niche to update on a regular basis? If you do have a constant flow of new updates then you can write often and your blog will be filled with new posts. If you pick a niche with not much to update then you need to go into detail about what it is that you feel needs improvement or change.

This is a great way to fill your blog with content on niches that do not have constant new developments. Once you figure out how often you will post then you need to stick to a schedule. In doing so your reader will know your pattern and check back for new content. You also need to set aside time to write and find a place that is inspiring. Many bloggers find coffee shops to be the best place to write. It could be the caffeine rush or the creative vibe that other customers send out. Whatever it is you need to be motivated to write great content for your blog. Take your time develop your post and make it the best you can.

Think of your post as a great article being written for the New York Times. You would want your article to be the best wouldn’t you? When I am writing a post for my blog I want it to inform and educate my reader. There needs to be a strong point that the reader might not have been aware and now can develop upon what you wrote. If you can write a post that is well thought out and can educate you will find that your blogs readership will go up. The next time you are about to write a post try this and see what kind of writing flow you get.

It’s true that blogging is fun and I love to write new content, but sometimes depending on the post a lot of work does go into my writing. If you are serious about being a pro blogger then you might want to take a writing class or buy some books on the subject. You might also just want to start writing as much as you can and get your creative juice going.
