Is eBay Dead?

A few years ago eBay was a great way to sell your unwanted stuff. As eBay grew so did the number of buyer and sellers. It was a gold mine for those who wanted a quick way to make money online. If you could find enough items that would sell for a profit you could make some serious cash. As more sellers entered the market margins got thin and eBay and Paypal fees started to cut into profits. The number of sellers from China also grew and created a problem for sellers who were buying items for resale on eBay as now they had to compete with their own suppliers. An example would be of a popular headphone I was selling on eBay at one point I was making on average $15 profit per sale. Once sellers from China started selling the same item my sales dried up. They were selling the same item for less then $5.00 and charging very low shipping. How could I compete with these sellers. The secret for sellers with no control on common items is to move away from that business model. If you want to make more money on eBay then you need to expand into niche items. If you can find items that are hard to find online you might have a hit with people who really want that item and are willing to pay. There was a story I read in an eBay related magazine about I guy how came across a warehouse full of old car mats for autos from the late 70's early 80's. This unique find turned into a million dollar business for this entrepreneur. If you look around I am sure you will find items that can be sold on eBay for a good profit, but stay away from mass produced items which you can not control the price.

Fiverrr.com Review Making Money $5.00 At a Time

A few weeks ago I discovered a new site for making money online. This site is called Fiverrr and allows users to do little jobs for $5.00 very simple and easy to get started. The site has a great design and looks a little like Twitter. When you first visit you will notice on the front page all the people willing to do a job for $5.00 with everything from doing a logo to holing a sign with your name outside the White House. This is a very cool site and making $5.00 at a time might not seem like much, but it can add up. If you have any digital skills then this site is a great way to gain new customers. Most tasks listed on the site can be created in very little time. If you plan on listing your skills on the site then you will get paid through Paypal, they should have other methods of payment as some users do not want to deal with Paypal. If you want to buy a service then you can use a credit card to make payment. This site was an idea waiting to happen and I find it amazing. In the past I have used sites like elance to get some content written for one of my web sites, but it did cost me $60.00 if I used Fiverrr I would have spent less and had a variety or writers working on my content. When I chose Fiverrr to write a review I knew this site would be of value to anyone who wants to make money online. The more you can outsource at reasonable cost, the more you can get done and have more time. If you are working on building a business online then outsourcing is a way to get more done. It has helped with my business and freed up my time to work on more important tasks that help pay the bills.

Visit Fiverrr and let me know what you think? www.fiverrr.com
