Drop Ship Stuff from Amazon

It’s no secret Amazon.com has one of the largest selection of merchandise that can be ordered online. They also have at times some unique items that are not found anywhere else. If you could turn some of this stuff into money you would be on to something.

Well there is a way to start making money from stuff you find on Amazon.com and it very simple to get started.
If you already have an Amazon.com account you’re on your way. The next step is to find stuff you want to resell and drop ship or that you can order and sell in the local Craigslist for to people in your area.
How it works is simple you find a product on Amazon and you list it for a profit for example on eBay.

When you get an order from someone on eBay you place an order on Amazon and have it shipped to the buyer. You want to make sure that you are going to make enough money to cover selling fees and that there is a little skin in the game.
The other option is to buy something cool and unique that is not easily found in your area.

List it on the local classified site and see if it sells. If you do not want to order before getting peoples interest you can list and when you get a buy or buyers order it and tell the person you will only be able to meet with them in a few days. This will give a chance to order the product hopefully with Amazon Prime and get it just in time for your customer to meet you in a few days.

Quick and easy lots of money to be made with this method. Give it a try leave a comment if it works for you.

How to Use an Android or Apple iPad Tablet for Business Productivity

The preferred method for creating content is still a PC or a Mac. These operating systems and their input method have made creating content extremely simple. The amount of software on the traditional computer system makes it possible to get most task completed without much hassle. The PC and Mac have an upper hand when it comes to competing against tablets in that everything just works.

When I try to use an iPad to create a blog post I find it a very difficult task. The iOS does not play nicely when trying to move documents. It's a real pain to transfer files to my PC to post or edit. The lack of a memory card or for service like Dropbox to sync documents makes it a challenge that I don't want to deal with. As for the actual creation of content it was easy to install the Pages app from Apple and create Word documents. The problem was getting these documents to my blog or to the PC as it requires the iPad to be connected to USB and synced with iTunes. The fine people at Apple need to make it easy to get documents to your main computer without having to connect through iTunes. If you need something lite to take on a trip then an iPad is great. The ability to create documents is a plus, but there are many challenges trying to get anything productive done on an iPad. The cut and paste feature takes a little getting used to and multitasking is still a work in progress. If you need to create content you might be better off with a cheap netbook.

Well what about the Android tablets?

It seems that transferring documents with Android was much easier then on the iPad. The Dropbox service worked and I was able to send my files online to retrieve on my PC.  The Android tablet also had a removable memory card which made it easy to remove and insert on a computer that I did not have Dropbox installed on.

If you need to create documents there are many office suites that are up to the challenge. You can create Word documents and Excel spreadsheets. The nice thing is that most Office Suites cost between $10 and $20 for very feature rich products that work very well.

The cut and paste feature seemed to work a little better on Android then on the iPad. If you need a lite pad that fits in your backpack an Android tablet can meet the fine line between netbook and PC. The Asus eee Transformer pad can even dock with a keyboard that makes it look like a netbook on steroids.

If I were to rely on just a tablet to get my work done I would go for an Android tablet and this is just because the syncing of documents was a lot better and I was not tied into using a software package to manage my documents.

As new updates are added to the tablet operating systems the experience will get better, but for those who need to get some work done it's better to stick to a netbook or laptop. If you have the spare cash just use the tablet for day trips or for those times you want to travel lite.

If you plan on tying for any great amount of time buy a keyboard. After a short time you will hate the experience of typing on a glass screen. it works for short documents and some users have created documents with thousands of words just typing on the screen. Sorry to say it was not for me I need a real keyboard for typing and if I am doing a lot of cut and paste I need a mouse. The Android tablet I bought supported a USB mouse, but I could not get a mouse to work on the iPad.

The tablet does fit a void and more people will be using them on a regular basis. As more manufactures bring products to market some of the issues I had will be corrected. In the next few months there will be four major operating systems for tablets. With iOS and Android leading the way, but HP's WebOS seems like a great productivity operating system which might challenge Apple's iPad. The Blackberry Playbook also looks like it can fill the void for a productivity tablet with RIM's business connection. There will also be a day that Mictrosoft will introduce a tablet to market that doesn't suck. If Microsoft introduces a tablet with its phone OS then they can take market share away from the competition.

If you need a tablet then buy one you will still be able to get a lot of stuff done and they are great for content consumption. If you do not need a tablet at this very moment then wait and see what updates will be coming out. The market is still young and there will be much improvement over the next few years.

The 9 to 5 Job is Dead

There are those who still get up each morning to go somewhere that they hate. It could be the money and their sense of responsibility, why else would someone go where they hate being. There were many years in my life that I spent going to a job I hated with all my heart.

The bills kept me trapped. Without the job how would I earn a living. The fear of having to live on the street imagine the horror if being left homeless if I did not got to work everyday. On the other hand what good is life if you are stuck spending more then half of it making a living instead of living. As I did my research for options it became clear that I could make a living, but on my own terms. The amount of technology has changed the way money is earned. If you can write an email or share an idea with others you can make a living. Thousands of people each day read content I create. This content is given away free to anyone who wants to learn. There are many ways I can monetize the information, but the most important thing I can do is help others. The karma you get back is never ending when you do things for the benefit of others.

At my last job I did things to benefit the company. They paid a salary, but never shared the profits sometimes there was bonus paid.

When you do things for yourself all the profit is yours. Have you ever thought if you could market your skills to clients without having to work 9 to 5. In this day and age you can easily find clients who will pay you for projects instead of hours. This will free you from the cubical life. At this moment I am creating this article for you in a park. The sun is shining and with just my smartphone I am able to create something that thousands of people can read an be inspired by with just a small bit of effort. The freedom of not being tied down by job let's me pursue things I want to do.

Now you might be asking how do I make money without a job? It's simple make a list of skills you have. Then I want you to go over to a site like Elance and start finding jobs that you have skills to bid on. The Elance site is one of many that connects freelance workers with clients. Once you find a job match and get the project you can work from anywhere in the world.

There is no limit if how much money you can make. A few years ago I created content for a web site while waiting to go up the Eiffel tower

When was the last time you made money standing in a line? Everyday people like me are enjoying life while living.

There are many methods of making money online. There are also many scams when dealing with people over the Internet be cautious. Once you find your a-ha moment take action and start moving towards the life you want.

If you feel that you might not be ready to try working for yourself full time then try it on your days off or after work. The moment you start working towards your goal of not living the 9 to 5 lifestyle you start to appreciate all the little things you are missing out on. Just as I was writing the last line a beautiful butterfly lands on my hand as I was typing on my smartphone. The amount of years I spent at a job and never did a butterfly land on my hand and inspired me the way this one did.

Apple TV 2 Now with MLB.TV

If you have the new Apple TV 2 the most recent update brings an MLB.TV app. This was a nice addition for those who enjoy sports as it brings live games to the Apple TV. If this is a sign of things to come then the NHL and the NBA can not be far behind.

The MLB.TV app does require a paid subscription to watch live games, but it seems that you can access scores and stats for free. The premium MLB.TV package costs $119.99 and the regular package costs $99.99 if you miss live sports or baseball from cord cutting then this is a great solution. The price of the MLB.TV is still way less then paying for cable and the quality of the service has had great reviews on all devices that the service is available on.

Video Marketing Your Online Business

We have all seen a viral video that helps create buzz for a business. The best part about viral marketing is that it costs very little and can get amazing results. If you have an online business you can generate more page views by coming up with a short video that entertain.

We have seen many large corporation use viral marketing and it done wonders for some brands. There is no reason that a small business can’t do the same. All you need is a YouTube account and a pocket video camera or even the video on your phone and you are ready to make a viral video. The cost is so low to get started all you need is a good idea. Once you work out an idea you need to match your video content to what product or service you are trying to market.

When I create a viral video I like to brain storm and come up with a video that is going to make viewers want to visit the web site to watch either another video or learn more about  the product. A viral video need to entertain and be creative. You need to make people laugh or talk about the video even promote it to their friends and family. If can get your video to the level that people are talking about it and telling others about it then you have done your job right. With video software costing less than $100 or the free iMovie software on the Mac that is all you need to get the job done. Start playing around with ideas and get those videos out there.
